Ghana Baptist Convention Partners With Success Training Institute

PLANO, Texas, January 23, 2019 (Newswire.com) – The Ghana Baptist Convention (GBC) and US-based Success Training Institute have formed a strategic partnership to address the employability skills and professional development needs of the West African region. The alliance will open the door for those residing in Ghana and beyond to acquire soft skills certifications in Leadership, Team Building, Conflict Resolution and much more. These skills are believed to drastically improve the chances of securing and retaining employment in a variety of industries and the course content can be accessed via mobile devices with WIFI or Internet connectivity. Those participating will have access to discounts and partial scholarships.

Reverend Dr. Ernest Adu-Gyamfi is the President of the Ghana Baptist Convention and was the catalyst for bringing the partnership to Ghana. “Online Soft Skills training is long overdue in Ghana,” the President stated. “This partnership will empower citizens with American training in ways never before imagined; ways that directly translate to personal and professional success.”

According to research conducted by ROAM (Ringier One Africa Media), 90% of applicants across Africa applied for a job for which they are not qualified, primarily due to a lack of soft skills. These are problems Success Training Institute is eager to solve.

Dr. DL Wallace, CEO of Success Training Institute (STI), believes the partnership can spark a soft skills movement that will spread to other parts of Africa. “The Ghana Baptist Convention is where the torch has been lit,” Wallace stated. “The fire for soft skills training will spread far beyond Ghana with the help of visionaries like Dr. Gyamfi.” The GBC also plans to integrate the soft skills training into its Emerging Leaders Institute and promote the initiatives on television via its Shalom Broadcast Network (SBN). The GBC is also in partnership with the National Baptist Convention of America, Inc. (NBCA) and plans to leverage its relationship to empower Ghanaians living in the US with soft skills training.

NBCA President Dr. Samuel C. Tolbert, Jr. has already seen the positive impact of partnering with Success Training Institute, as it entered into a similar alliance last year. “This exciting and revolutionary partnership with Ghana Baptist Convention and Success Training Institute is strategically an extension of the partnership GBC has formed with the NBCA” Tolbert stated. “The soft skills training initiative being launched in Ghana will benefit all areas of our collaborative efforts; including education and church planting.”

In addition to the online training courses, Success Training Institute will conduct live soft skills training workshops at GBC national conferences and other major events. “Ghana is a thriving nation and our company is pleased to be in partnership with GBC”, Wallace stated. “The real work; which is our passion, is about to begin.”
